Ben graduated from the University of Wales College of Cardiff in 1992 with a postgraduate Bachelor of Architecture RIBA Part II. He then came to London to work and continue with his studies for the RIBA Part III professional quali cation at the University of Westminster while working for The Design Solution. He became a fully qualified registered architect in 1997.

Ben has worked in architecture and design for over 25 years. In that time he has worked on a large variety of projects. Within a diverse range of architects from Renzo Piano as a student to Brinkworth most recently. Ben has also worked with Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners, Pablo Luna H. Asociados Arquitectos (Chile), Engelen Moore (Australia), MUMA + Michael Wilford & Partners and Rick Mather Architects.

Ben has a broad range of experience on projects ranging from small SRB funded regeneration projects to Multi Million pound commercial/of ce developments such projects have included: Regeneration, urban master-planning, landscape Commercial developments and t out, retail, restaurants, public arts and theatres, single family housing, multiple occupancy residential projects, refurbishment of heritage buildings and their interiors. In 2004 Ben and Silka Gebhardt founded the practice Neu Architects.
